Downtown Comox: Restaurants & Pubs

Within walking distance of the Comox Harbour, you will find something to please all your cravings, from casual fare like pizza, soup or burgers to fine dining and international cuisine. Blackfin Pub

The Blackfin is everything you expect in an oceanside pub, but kicked up a few extra notches. Amazing views and a large patio, great food, local beer, wine & spirits, and friendly service that caters to locals and visitors alike.

Martine’s Bistro

Martine’s is a quaint European-style bistro, with ocean and marina views. They work with local farmers as well as resident fishermen based out of the Comox Marina to provide fresh Halibut for their feature dishes.

Toscano’s Mediterranean Grill

With dishes such as octopus, spiced lamb meatballs and prawn puttanesca, Toscano’s will transport you from the docks of Comox to the Mediterranean seas. Our temperate climate, sunny disposition and fertile soil produce foods which pair perfectly with the recipes of Southern Europe.

Tidal Cafe

Tidal Café is a family owned go-to gathering spot for brunch, breakfast and lunch in downtown Comox. Their menu items feature thoughtfully-sourced ingredients, with everything from signature bowls and bennies to family favourite pancakes, specialty baked goods and beverages.

Smitty’s Restaurant

Boonies Pizza

Boonies specializes in naturally leavened, wood-fired West Coast Pizza. Unique names represent unique flavour combinations — like Land Before Zukes (Zucchini, Proscuitto, Balsamic, Cherry Tomatoes & Goat Cheese) and No Chefs Here Special (Meatball, Caramelized Onion, Chilli Flakes & Hot Honey). And their house-made ice cream is perfect for taking back to the boat for dessert!

Comox Soup Shack

Comox Soup Shack, in the nearby Comox Mall, is known for homemade delicious soups, sandwiches, sausage rolls and snacks that will remind you of your childhood. Roasted Butternut Squash, Seafood Chowder, Dill Pickle and Roasted Tomato — a constantly changing menu with so many items that are perfect to eat ashore or take with you onboard.

New Tradition Brewing Company

New Tradition Brewing serves family-recipe traditional craft beers mixed up a bit with small batch favourites such as Purple Pie Man - Blueberry Tart Ale and Little Jack Horner - Plum Sour. Enjoy one on their ocean-view patio with an Aussie Meat Pie or warm Bavarian Pretzel.

Domino’s Pizza

Sometimes you just need a large pepperoni & mushroom pizza, and with Domino’s around the corner you are in luck — delivered to your boat even! Of course they have lots of other options, including crunchy thin crusts and veggie pizzas, chicken bites and pasta dishes. Comfort food, there when you need it.

Church Street Bakery

Church Street Bakery is known for its wood-fired breads and specialty baked goods, but more often then not people go for the pizza. Wood-fired, thin crust pizza with so many flavour options — from Onion Lovers and Spicy Brimstone, to Chicken Pesto, Carnivore and Kauai.

Church St. Taphouse

Church St. Taphouse has it all - a wide selection of craft beer and cider on tap, specialty cocktails, a great wine list, excellent food, friendly service and one of the best patios in town — complete with gas fire pits to keep you warm and cozy. The West Coast theme is apparent as you walk in the door, not only by the style, but by the funky diving decor throughout.

Spice Hut

The Spice Hut is family owned, and offers made-from-scratch East Indian cuisine just a few blocks from the Comox Harbour. Escape from your boat for a few hours or take it back to dine in the cockpit. Out of the ordinary comfort food.

Sushi Kobo

Sushi Kobo rolls up some of the best sushi in town - perfect to take on a picnic or for dinner on the boat . Make sure to try the Tako balls, fresh rolls and sashimi platters. All made fresh to order, and sure to become a fast favourite.
