Welcome to the Boonies.
Boonies Pizza is a culmination of ideas from two childhood friends who grew up together on North Vancouver Island, focussed on sourcing local ingredients and materials…and getting out into the boonies.
These life-long friends saw the pandemic as an opportunity to create something together. So they set about sourcing and milling all their own wood and building furniture for the restaurant. They also took on the challenge of designing and building a pizza oven for the space. Ten months later, they began serving up naturally leavened organic pizza, ice cold beers, and homemade ice cream created from from local grass-fed cows milk.
