Sieffert’s Farm Market has 100 acres of farmland, on which they have been growing produce since the early 1960s. Their farm market sells potatoes, corn, mixed vegetables, tomatoes and cucumbers, and they also sell Okanagan fruit and other in-season crops from various other local farms.
The family-owned and -operated business was purchased by Norm and Jean Sieffert in 1959, and began as a humble 8 acres. Over the years, more land was acquired and greenhouses were built, and they sold their produce through island vegetable co-ops and grocery stores—and their front porch.
Now run by the second and third generation (with the fourth on its way as they play in the fields), Sieffert’s Farm Market continues to improve their facilities in order to continue to offer their customers the high-quality products they’ve become known for.
